Princess Juliana International Airport is located on the island of St. Maarten shared by two nations: the French and the Dutch. This airport is famous all over the world because it is too close to the Maho Beach. People who go there always see airplanes that fly just above their heads when entering the airport. This airport is unique. Its runway is very short, only about 2,130 meters. This is what forces incoming airplanes to low over the beach, and this is what attracts plane spotters from all over the world. They can easily shoot spectacular images of incoming airplanes and get adrenaline while an aircraft is landing under manual flight control, because the airport doesn’t have a system of automatic landing.
